So I've been helping my mom out lately by cleaning out her closets and cabinets. One of the best thus far was the tape and cd cabinet. I got a good laugh when I came across some old loves...first and foremost, my boyzIImen cooleyhighharmony tape that my brother Alan gave me one Christmas when I was in elementary. I'm surprised the thing still works with how much I listened to "End of the Road" and "Motownphilly" over and over again (I say 'still works' because yes, Shane and I stuck it in the old tape deck and sang along the whole way home :).
Also found this guy and laughed some more when I recalled staring at his picture as a young girl and thinking, "He's so cute". I wasn't even really boy crazy, but I don't know...maybe I liked parachute pants! Look at them...can you blame me? Perhaps that's what drew me to Shane later on...his vast collection of parachute pants ;)
So, my taste in music may have changed a bit over the years, but I'll of course always have a special place in my heart for my boyz.

That's hilarious! I love it. Got to love theparachute pants! I know I was only alive for part of the 80's, but I to liked boys 2 men! By the way, were you at the airport last Saturday the 19th? I thought I may have seen you, but I only saw the back of the head of a girl with dark hair and a little boy.
This is so funny! I too loved MC Hammer...I even had the parachute pants! Mine were purple and black! Oh man, good memories. Yes, I will be taking my camera this week. Peep in once in awhile to see what is going on!
Love you!
and ps...New Kids on the Block are BACK!
Oh my gosh, I was their #1 fan. I even went to a couple of their concerts! And to drive to Salt Lake while I was in high school was a HUGE deal. I had the next CD, the one that was just titled II, literally stuck in my CD player in my super cool Geo Metro! I bet I still have that whole sucker memorized.I probably made out to that CD more times than I can count. (That is not a proud confession!)Good times! Thanks for the memory and the laugh.
Oh...LOU! You and I are two peas in a pod. Just this past week I was thinking about B2M. I heard one of their songs on the radio. Normally I would have switched the station and cringed, but I didn't. I sang along as loud as I could and enjoyed the entire trip down memory lane.
(I think this beats my bad photo and old letters--hands down.)
Good times. Remember the Fresh Prince episode where Will went back to Philadelphia and found out that one of the kids he bullied was on Boyz II Men? That Will, what a character.
Wow!! I had that same tap. I loved it. Also I still have my All for One CD. I put it in every now and again to hear "She's Got Skillz". That was great music. Good times!!
You inspired me...
ooh..."end of the road." i still get the chills when i hear that song :)
