Think Pink

Meant to do this at the end of October (which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month) and never got to it, but we still wanted to pay tribute to one Ellen Frazier (Shane's Mom) who finished up her final round of radiation recently. They were able to find the lump early because she was walking by a mammogram bus one day and felt like she needed to go in. So, ladies, it's a good lesson to us all to keep up on regular exams! Hearing that your mom has breast cancer is definitely one of the last things you want to hear, but we are SO grateful for how well she has done and admire the positive attitude she has kept through it all. We love you Mom!

I know pink is the designated color for breast cancer awareness but it doesnt fit my mom very well. Oakland Raiders black and silver might be a better fit- something tough like she is. I always knew she was tough as nails: from dry-farming as a kid in the tetons, raising a big family with little resources, and dealing with Shane when the cops would bring him home at 3:00 in the morning. She is a great example of the saying "yes its hard- but you can do hard things." I love my tough Mom and hope I can handle what life throws at me with the same pull-up-your-socks attitude. Props to Ellen Frazier!!!!
